Trilogy, 2007
Inaugurated on March 15, 2007. Commission for the Student Center at Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY. The three neon elements, one outside and two inside the new glass-walled building, are meant to be seen in different sequences, angles, and times of day.
Welcome, 2006
Installed on October 20, 2006, at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, under the sponsorship of the Fonds National d'Art Contemporain. Originally exhibited in a solo show Welcome and Chapel for P.S. 1 in Long Island City in 1999, this work's permanent position on an exterior wall near the entrance to the University campus, suits its original title once again.
Orizzonte, 2005
Two neon installations on the crown of the new Airport of Puglia, Italy in Bari. The work on the east faces the roads approaching the airport. The work on the north faces the tarmac. Both works can be seen from various levels in the sky from planes landing and taking off.

National Bank of Greece, Athens. This wall is 100' high and 40' wide. It is meant to be viewed from the ground level as well as from the balconies on the second, third, and fourth floors.

Once, Again, 2001
Smith College Museum of Art, Nielson Library Underpass, Northampton, MA. The neon forms on the two-level ceiling make a different experience depending on the viewer's direction through this passageway.
Proscenium, 2000
The Neuberger Museum of Art, State University of New York, Purchase, NY. Antonakos received the Museum's Lifetime Acheivement Awared at the opening of this installation.

Passage, 2005
The entrance of the new building of the European Cultural Center of Dellphi, Delphi, Greece, during an exhibition in the summer of 2005.
To Spiti/The House, 2004
Andros, Greece. This exhibition sponsored curated by Dr. Athena Spina for the Kydoniefs Foundaton featured two new commissions: "THE RETURN" on the front exterior wall and "THE GOAL" inside. The galleries featured such neon work as "MERCY," along with drawings and collages
